Spring Update
The first part of 2026 has brought many praises and exciting moments in our ministry, as well as some questions and needs we are praying through. I came home mid March after our first attempt at drilling in Uganda and we had hit some VERY hard rock we could not drill through. I came home with no answers, BUT GOD. I reached out to several contacts and as God always does, He pointed me in the direction of the right person. I got a phone call from Dan with Life Water Canada who has been drilling in Kenya for over 10 years. They use the same drill rig we have and have done this upgrade to their equipment already and know what we need to get our well drilled. Their team has graciously agreed to help me upgrade our rig in Uganda to use an air hammer drill bit which we need to get through the hard rock we encountered drilling our first borehole. Once again God has provided and made a way when I was not sure what to do.
The only piece of equipment we do not have yet is a High Volume 185 CFM Air Compressor. Which we need to run the air hammer and blow shavings out of the hole. Once again, God has connected me with a man in Kampala who says he has the compressor we need. Please be praying we get connected when I am back in Uganda and he has what we need for a reasonable price. These units are pricey, but I am confident God has gone before and has a plan and provision in place.
After a slight delay for some emergency gallbladder surgery and some complications from that (thankfully while I was in the US), I’m heading back to Africa this week on May 15. I will be gone 3 weeks and have a hard return date of June 10 due to my twin grandsons expected to be arriving around that time. I will be flying into Nairobi Kenya to meetup with the drilling team from Life Water Canada. Our team from Uganda will be driving down to meet us and we will spend several days working with the LWC team. Their lead driller will then head back with us and will help us get our rig upgraded and drilling!
Please be in prayer for me as I travel, that God will put the final pieces together over these next 3 weeks I am gone.
Thank you for the prayers and financial support that have gotten us to this point. I am still praying God will bring us more monthly supporters to help keep the day-to-day funding of WWJD going. Our monthly expenses of Rent, Staff, Security, Supplies etc… is $2000. We currently have close to $1000 committed in monthly giving. I ask that you would pray about being one of our monthly supporters. Every drop in the bucket (pun intended) helps! Even $20 a month makes a difference, & becomes part of the River of Life, for the under resourced people of the West Nile region. Our main goal will always be providing clean water so that we can share the Living Water with the people of Uganda.
Prayer Requests:
Opportunities to share Jesus in our daily encounters
My 3 week trip to Uganda - that we would be successful in our drilling endeavors
My health would stay strong after my surgeries
That we will reach our monthly donation goal to support the ministry of WWJD
The compressor will be what we need for a reasonable price.
Faith Hope & Love
