2027 Mission Opportunity
Greetings to all my awesome WWJD subscribers. Wanted to bring you up to date on what God has been doing here after my 1st month of this trip and what I believe He is leading us to for the rest of my stay, which ends Nov 3rd.
EXCITING NEWS! We completed the 1st well in Ayipe and after a few small hiccups, it is now in full use. We also drilled our 2nd borehole down to 30 meters where we did hit water but feel we need to drill another 10 meters or so through some hard rock to produce better water flow. We need to use the air hammer and compressor to do this. The compressor is scheduled to arrive in Mombasa next week and we should have it here on site before the of the month. Please pray that transportation moves smoothly.
Our first completed well in Uganda! One of the highlights from this first completed well was the blessing ceremony where the whole village came out and we prayed over the well and those who would be using it. Our prayer for this community is that God would continue to reveal Himself as the Living Water as we share the gospel with this community.
We visited 3 new villages on Friday and signed MOU's and have scheduled our geologist to come and perform surveys next week. Please pray the surveys show good water sources and locations to drill. This would give us a total of 5 more locations to drill before I leave in November. During the visits I was once again reminded of the great need for clean accessible water sources in so many areas around here.
The current water source for one of our next drilling sites.
I/my daughter (mostly Heather) are trying to post regular updates to our social media pages. Please give the pages a follow & remember that every, like/comment/share is very helpful in increasing our reach to get the word out about our mission.
Lastly, I am asking that you help me in recruiting new supporters to our WWJD family by sharing this with 2 or 3 of your friends. It is looking like the cost for supplies, equipment and fuel will be about $5,000 per well, also our yearly lease for this amazing compound God has provided for us to work out of is due on the 1st of October which is $7000. That may seem like a big # but it works out to under $600 a month and will be able to house future visiting teams (see below 😀). While the human fleshly side of me would rest easier if we had a little more of a cushion in our bank account, I am confident the he will continue to provide for all our needs as He has done up to this point.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. God is using you to impact so many lives in the people of Uganda.
Faith, Hope, and Love,
Jeff
PS. I am working with Steve our mission's pastor to bring a team over here in August of 2027 to minister with us. Please be in prayer about being part of this awesome opportunity.
Prayer Requests:
Opportunities to share Jesus in our daily encounters.
That our daily devos at the compound would continue to grow.
Health for our team.
That we will reach our monthly donation goal to support the ministry of WWJD.
The compressor will arrive with no delays.
