Upcoming Aug-Oct Trip Plans and Needs
Praying this email finds everyone on my subscriber list having an awesome summer! It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through July—and that it’s been one year since my retirement.
A special thanks to each of you for your faithful prayer and financial support. It may seem like we haven’t accomplished much up to this point, but believe me—God is definitely at work, putting all the ministry puzzle pieces together in His perfect timing. I truly believe that after this upcoming 2+ month trip, we will have all the pieces in place to begin sharing the gospel, ministering, and drilling. PTL!
I’ll be spending the first part of August traveling with the Texans and Ugandans on Mission drill/ministry team to gain a clearer understanding of what drilling, community training, and ministering look like in Uganda. After that, I’ll be meeting up with our mission team from Rush Creek in Kisoro for a week, working with Eden Mission on maternal outreach and men’s discipleship.
Around the beginning of September, I’ll return to the capital city of Kampala to (hopefully) purchase a vehicle, and then drive to Koboko—the district where we’ll be ministering—to begin connecting with the community and setting up a base of operations to work from.
Meeting with the leaders of the Ayipe Parrish and learning about their water conditions. There are about 7,000 people in this community and this is their water source for everything. Drinking, Laundry, Bathing, Watering Animals etc…

Top Needs This Trip
There are 3 huge things we are praying for on this trip. Needless to say all of these needs come with a cost. My #2 spiritual gift is giving, so I struggle when it comes to asking for something, but I have been told by friends, family, and God that I need to make these financial needs known so people can pray and give effectively as the Spirit leads.
1. Purchase vehicle for pulling drill rig and hauling supplies. This is the biggest need and expense for sure. After much research and praying I feel pretty confident that purchasing a used truck already in country is the best way to go. The cost for one in good condition seems to be falling in the $50K-$60K range.
2. Locate and purchase/rent property in Koboko area to base out of. Estimates for the home base property needed are $400-$500 per month if renting or $5K-$10K if purchasing. Availability and location are huge factors here. Please be praying God leads us to the right location.
3. Find and hire local person to complete 3 man ministry team. Once we find and hire the 2nd person our staffing costs will be around $1600 per month. Our 1st person, Titus, is currently in training and he will be brought on full time after successful completion of training in September.
If you feel led to financially invest in changing lives in the Ayipe Parish, click here or go to the “Giving” tab on my website and you will be directed how to make a one time or recurring financial contribution. Any amount, no matter the size will make a difference. You can also write checks to “WWJD Water Wells” and mail directly to me at address below which will eliminate all processing fees. All donations are tax deductible. Please share this post with any friends or family you believe would be interested in helping and following along with me on this path God has placed before me.
Trusting in the Philippians 1:6 promise that He who has started a good work in us will carry it on to completion.
